Passed away on November 30, 2022, at the age of 88. Predeceased by his wife, Virginia Van Deusen; brother, Lawrence Van Deusen; and parents, Robert (Mildred) Van Deusen. Survived by his wife, Sylvia Van Deusen [Vandertang]; children, Mary Ellen Bonisteel (Jim), Kathleen Meyers (Scott), Sandra Volhejn (Dennis), Valerie Jones, Donna Becker, Daniel Parker (Ginger) and Michelle Worth (Guy); grandchildren, Philip Gardone, Nicholas Gardone, Geena Volhejn, Jake Volhejn, Brian Jones, Christopher Jones (Rhyne), Matthew Turner, Stanley Parker (Alyssa) and Mackenzie Parker; great-grandchildren, Margot Berg Gardone, Landon Jones, Brice Jones, Jack Jones, Fairley Jones, Hunter Parker, Liam Parker; sister-in-law, Nancy (Jack) Doyle; special friends, Anthony Andolina, Donald and Marie Seidel.
Richard C. Van Deusen passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family in Henrietta, New York on November 30, 2022 at the age of 88. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He loved to be around his family and friends. Richard served 4 years in the United States Navy where he was a meteorologist and a Korean War Veteran. Later, Richard went to Brockport college where he received his bachelor’s degree. He retired after 30 years of teaching. He loved to travel, downhill ski, and anything to do with nature. He lived life to its fullest through words of one of his favorite songs by Frank Sinatra “I did it my way”.

Richard’s Memorial Service will take place on TUESDAY December 13, 2022 at 11 AM in All Seasons Chapel (210 Marsh Road in Pittsford). Inurnment to follow. CLICK HERE for a map to the cemetery.
