October 26, 1947 – November 17, 2020. Michael passed away peacefully at Elm Manor Nursing Home after a protracted battle sustained from a fall at home.
Mike was retired from the telecommunications industry, having worked the majority of his life in the field. He loved discussing esoteric telecom terms & protocols, even when his wife, Gail, begged him to stop. A true shared passion was the love of all things “Christmas Carol”. Mike & Gail loved to debate the finer points between various movie versions often boring family to tears.
Other loves included family, camping, history, computers & a fine bottle of single malt scotch. Dry martinis were also perfectly acceptable.
His kindness, love and quiet sense of humor will be missed by his loving wife Gail (Newcombe), sons Philip (Marlo) Brown, Matthew (Tricia) Brown and Christian (Tracy) Farrow, sisters Leslie (Bob) Churchill and Kelley (Majid) Afghari, sister-in-law Joanna Newcombe, and brother-in-law Kenneth (Debby) Newcombe as well as many nieces, nephews, in- laws, extended family members and friends who thought the world of Mike.

Due to occupancy limits, mandated by NYS, Michael’s funeral service will be private. The services will be live-streamed, Saturday at 2 PM, for those wishing to attend remotely CLICK HERE [the live stream will be available around 1:45 PM on Saturday, November 21, 2020].

Donations in Mike’s memory may be made to: the Animal Service League Animal Service League or the Veteran’s Outreach Center Veterans Outreach Center.
