Kailee Marie Kwiecien, born on June 4, 2011, died at home on November 23, 2020 surrounded by her loved ones.

Kailee is survived by her devoted parents, Daniel and Catherine Manuele Kwiecien of Henrietta and her cherished little sister, Morgan Elizabeth Kwiecien; her loving grandparents Robert and Linda Skramko Kwiecien of West Henrietta, and Sam and Anita Deinhardt Manuele of Brighton, and dearest great aunt Carol Deinhardt of Brighton. She is also survived by her aunts, uncles and cousins – Brian and Justine Bracaglia Kwiecien of West Henrietta, and her cousins Lucas LaForest and Charlie Kwiecien; and Brian and Christine Manuele Turnquist of Webster, and her cousins Emma and Arlo Turnquist. She is also survived by a multitude of extended family. There are hundreds and hundreds of people who were cheering her on as members of Kick It Kailee’s team including her parents’ colleagues at the Henrietta Fire Department and the Churchville-Chili Central School District.

Kailee was baptized and worshipped at Trinity Reformed Church in Brighton. She completed Pre-K at the Rush Nursery School, grades K-3 at the Winslow Elementary School, and was enrolled in the 4th grade at Sherman Elementary School in Henrietta, NY. Her favorite times included two trips to DisneyWorld, family vacations at Rehoboth Beach, Delaware, and anytime that she could go swimming.

She waged a courageous and inspirational battle against rhabdomyosarcoma since September of 2013. She defied the odds countless times and amazed staff with her willingness to actively participate in her medical care and procedures. Her spunk and sassy humor were welcome aspects of her personality throughout her journey. The family wishes to thank her oncologist, Dr. David Korones; many very special home nurses, child life specialists, and music and art therapists; and the amazing staff on 7N at Golisano Children’s Hospital and the A6 Children’s Outpatient Clinic.

Calling hours will be held Monday 11/30/20. Due to COVID restrictions we are limited in how many can attend so you must email dkwiecien@rochester.rr.com if you are interested in attending.  Dan and Catherine will celebrate Kailee’s life on June 4, 2021 – the 10th anniversary of her birth. Details on that celebration will be made available at that time.

The family asks for the courtesy of no flowers.
