Francis J. Martin “Frank”

Henrietta. Born in Brockton, MA July 12, 1930. Passed away on June 14, 2023 at age 92. He was predeceased by his wife of 62 years, Margaret “Peg” Halloran-Martin; parents, Francis L. and Martha Martin.
He is survived by his children, Francis “Joe” (Cindy) Martin, Jr., Michele (Steve) Prentice, Catherine Martin, Theresa (Karl) Hirschman; grandchildren, Francis J. (Jacquie) “Frankie” Martin III, Benjamin P. (Myria) Martin, Elizabeth (Brittany Ryan) Hirschman, Ryan Hirschman, Rebecca (Judd Plouffe) Hirschman; great grandchildren, Glenn Martin, Rhett Martin, Sawyer Plouffe, Cash Martin and Cash’s brother or sister coming June 26th; many nieces and nephews.

Frank served 12 years in the US Army as an MP providing security to various nuclear weapons installations. He came to the Rochester area while serving at the Seneca Army Depot and met his wife Margaret through her volunteering with the USO in Canandaigua. After leaving the Army he went to work as a Funeral Director with his father-in-law Vernon Halloran at Henry D. Halloran Son, Inc., which he owned and operated after Vernon’s death with his son Joe for 26 years. At the time of his retirement, he had 50 years as a Licensed Funeral Director. Frank drove school bus for over 20 years with the Rush Henrietta Central School District. Frank was a Life Member of the West Henrietta Fire Department and a member for over 25 years with the Henrietta Fire District and was a Charter Member of Genesee Valley Henrietta Moose Lodge #2290.

Friends and family may call MONDAY, June 19th from 4-7 at Miller Funeral and Cremation Services, Inc., 3325 Winton Road S. Frank’s Funeral Mass will be held on TUESDAY, June 20th at 10 AM at St. Marianne Cope Parish at Guardian Angels Church 2061 East Henrietta Road. Interment Pine Hill Cemetery.
