Francis Joseph Straub, Jr. “Joe”

Victor: Passed away peacefully on June 20, 2023 at age 69. He was predeceased by his sister, Christine Reynolds; parents, Margaret Straub and Francis Joseph Straub, Sr. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Mary Holland Straub; children, Joe Straub, Andy (Denitza) Straub, Izzy (Jon Hogrefe) Straub; granddaughter, Eva Straub; sisters, Cathy (Brian) Jeffrey, Amy (Jimi) Dunlavey; brother-in-law, Scott Reynolds; nieces, nephews, cousins and many dear friends.

Joe was a University of Rochester alum with a degree in Electrical Engineering. He was a founding partner of M/E Engineering, and served as the Vice-President from the company’s beginning in 1991 until his retirement in 2018.

Joe was born and raised in Syracuse, NY and was an avid S.U. basketball fan, He loved to spend time outdoors walking the trails with his family, and loved to spend time with family and friends.

Family and friends are invited to call on Monday, June 26th from 4-7 PM at Miller Funeral and Cremation Services of Victor, 301 West Main Street, Victor, New York. Joe’s Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, June 27th at 10AM at Saint Patrick’s Church, 115 Maple Avenue, Victor. Interment will be held privately.
