John J. Braun

Passed away June 22, 2023, at the age of 79.

Predeceased by his parents, John P. & Phyllis Braun; parents-in-law, Ron & Margaret Mowers; brother-in-law, Ron J. Mowers.

Survived by his wife, Sandra Braun; sons, John P. (Gina) Braun & Michael D. (Heather) Braun; grandchildren, John J. (Olivia) Braun, Hunter W. Braun, Matthew C. Braun, Quinn J. Braun, Vanessa S. Braun & Dylan M. Braun; brother, Steve M. (Jean) Braun; nieces, Michelle (Bill) Vasey & Christina (Dru) Turk as well as many close friends and extended family in both NY & FL.

John and Sandy were married for 56 wonderful years and family meant everything to him. They loved travelling, cruises, skiing, and boating. He was an amazing father, grandpa and papa.

John was an avid tennis player, fisherman, boater and his zest for life was unparalleled. From catching Northern Pike in the St Lawerence River to winning the club championship at Lighthouse Point Tennis Center in Florida recently, his competitive spirit drove his success in life. He was always ready for an evening cocktail with friends and family. His spirited dinner conversation was legendary.

He began a distinguished career with Dollinger corporation in Rochester NY. His professional acumen brought him to Florida with Diller Brown and associates which led to him being an incredibly successful owner of Tek-Sales, representing DeZURIK and many other manufacturers in New York and New Jersey.

Family and friends may call on Tuesday, June 27, from 4-7 PM at Miller Funeral and Cremation Services of Victor, 301 West Main Street. John’s Graveside Service will be held on Wednesday, June 28, at 10 AM at White Haven Memorial Park, 210 Marsh Road. Those attending are asked to meet at the main entrance off Marsh Road. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Northern New York Community Foundation, memo line: The Foundation for Community Betterment Alexandria Bay Endowment Fund, 131 Washington Street, Watertown, NY 13601.
