Barbara Amrhein

On Saturday July 1st, Barbara Jean (Robbins)Amrhein passed away at the age of 77. Barbara was born on July 8, 1945 in Gloversville, NY to Frank and Ruth (Kobuskie) Robbins. She lived in Saratoga Springs, NY and retired from the NYS Department of Tax and Finance in Albany, NY. After retirement she worked for fun at Panera Bread in Saratoga Springs and later in Rochester, NY where she moved in 2004 to be closer to family.

Barbara was an avid reader and loved nothing more than caring for and spending time with her granddaughters. She especially enjoyed cheering them on at all their soccer games.

Barbara was predeceased by her husband William. She is survived by her daughter Laura (VanAlstyne) Giunta (Christopher Giunta); stepdaughter Mary Anne (Amehein)Spiezio (Timmie); stepson Gary (Oralie) Amrhein; sister Bonnie (Robbins) Dorschel; grandchildren Natalie and Sarah Giunta, Samantha (Spiezio) Brunsman (Jacob) and Anthony Spiezio; wonderful nieces and nephew Ari, Nonie, and Jim and their beautiful families.

Her Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, July 11, 2023 at 10:30 at St Joseph’s Church, 43 Gebhardt Rd, Penfield NY
