Doris A. Schmidt

Doris Schmidt passed away quietly in her sleep on September 6, 2023 at the age of 98. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Richard; parents Edwin and Catherine Kirst; brothers Raymond, Howard, Robert and Carl; sister Marian Koelmel; son Theodore; granddaughter Annie. She is survived by five children, Thomas (Katherine), Ronald (Peggy), Donna (Drew) Desmarais, William (Lily), Mary (Timothy) Albert; daughter-in-law Mary Schmidt; 12 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, and 6 great great grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother Jack (Jean) Kirst; sisters Eileen Cottet and Jane (Don) Kruger; many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.

Doris was a woman of tremendous faith, and an active member of St. Louis Catholic Church. She was a loving mother and adored her large family. Doris enjoyed the great outdoors and loved to travel with her husband Richard.

A memorial mass will be held at St. Louis Catholic Church, 64 South Main Street, Pittsford, NY 14534 on Friday, October 27 at 9:30am. Those who wish can make contributions to St. Louis Catholic Church. Internment will be private.
