Evelyn Regina Wiggins Stewart Schnacky
Evelyn Regina Wiggins Stewart Schnacky was born July 14, 1927, the only child of Harold and Gertrude Wiggins. Even though she was an only child she was blessed with a large extended family with many aunts, uncles and cousins whom she loved dearly.
She lived in many different places in her youth such as Addison NY, Philadelphia PA, New Jersey, and Geneseo NY. Upon graduation from Geneseo High School, she applied to the University of Rochester, School of Nursing where she earned her Nursing Degree in 1948 and then went on to earn her Bachelors of Nursing degree in 1958.
She met her beloved Dudley on a blind date at the cottage on Conesus Lake. They were married May 21, 1960. Together, they raised their family, daughter Mary and son Dan and shared a lifetime of adventures and trips including Cape Cod, Utah and Walt Disney World.
In the summer they spent countless weekends at the cottage on Conesus Lake making lasting memories with an amazing extended family.
Dud and Reg loved their time together and made a great team! They worked on numerous home projects and had a wonderful, fun-filled life with family until his passing in October 1998.
A few years later, she reconnected with an old friend, Bob Schnacky and they were married September 14, 2013. They shared many wonderful times together until he passed away in 2019.
Reggie has spent countless hours happily serving her family, many beloved friends and also many members of her church. Reggie could do anything and was always happy. She will be forever remembered for her willingness to help others, her happy welcoming personality, her love for all, her smile, and her wonderful sense of humor. We feel blessed to have had our dear Reggie in our lives and to have witnessed her Christlike example to everyone.
Mom, we love you and will miss you so much but we rejoice in the knowledge that you are now together forever with Dad, catching him up on the last 25 years. Until we meet again, we will be waving to you as you go. All our love always.
She is survived by her daughter Mary (Scott), and son Dan (Jennifer), along with her grandchildren Ben (Mackenzie), Melissa, Mason, Tyler, and Sydney.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, September 30th from 10:00 – 10:30 with the Funeral Services starting at 10:30 at the Church of Jesus Christ of latter-day Saints on 1400 Westfall Road.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests a donation be made to the Alzheimer’s Association (Donate Online) or the American Cancer Society (Donate Online).
