Donna Marie (Pratt) Gaida

ROCHESTER, NY – On Thursday, October 26, 2023, at age 71, Donna Marie (Pratt) Gaida went to heaven to reunite with her husband, Gerald Glenn Gaida, as a loving and gentle soul.

Donna was also predeceased by her parents, Lawrence and Frances Pratt, brothers-in-law Thomas Gaida and Walter Gaida, and sister-in-law Nancy Gaida.

She is survived by her daughter, Carrie Anne (Gaida) Crawford; son-in-law Michael Crawford; brother Lawrence (Jessica) Pratt; sister Linda (Jerome) Angelilli; sisters-in-law Linda Gaida and Carol Longo, and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and many, many dear friends.

Prior to her life in the nursing home, Donna was a banker and talented seamstress, avid crafter of crocheting and needlepoint, and an incredible cook and baker. During her life in the nursing home, she enjoyed many activities such as ceramics, making crafts, music, playing bingo, cards, and Tri-Ominos. She visited countless times with family throughout the years and smiled, danced, and laughed at Carrie & Michael’s wedding last summer. Her happiness filled the entire room, everyone’s hearts, and was simply contagious. She was so incredibly loved by everyone around her.

A memorial service will take place at 11:00am on Saturday, November 25, 2023 at White Haven Memorial Park in the All Seasons Chapel, 210 Marsh Road, Pittsford, NY 14534. Interment will be at White Haven Memorial Park in the Maplewood mausoleum.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be directed to the American Diabetes Association or the American Stroke Association, in her memory.
