JoAnne R. Mueller, age 88, of Henrietta NY, died peacefully at her home on Saturday October 28, 2023. She was born the daughter of Marion (Korn) Reeb and Clifford J. Reeb on July 24, 1935 of Buffalo NY, brother Thomas (Susan) Reeb of Boise ID, sister Debra (Dennis) Crahen of Akron NY, and half-brother Clifford “Skip” Reeb of PA.

She was predeceased by her husband of 50 years, John “Jack” Mueller.

JoAnne was a Catholic school teacher at Guardian Angels and Good Shepherd schools, retiring after 30 years. She was known as a tough but fair teacher who always had the individual success of each student as her goal. Students remembered her and thanked her years later for the impact she made on their lives. In addition to teaching, JoAnne’s other passions included her family, school colleagues, great neighbors, summer vacations, travel, the Buffalo Bills, meticulous care of her home and helping others. She also absolutely adored all her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her children Janet Rivers (Daniel) of Morrison CO, John Mueller (Christina Gullo) of Webster NY, grandchildren Trishanna Safken (Charles Safken) of Montrose CO, Justin Rivers (Marielle Rivers) of Pasadena MD, Tyler Rivers (Taylor Phillips) of Sherman AK, Shannon Bassett (Justin Bassett) of Ontario NY, Patrick Mueller (Robbie Braman) of East Irondequoit, Alexandra “Alex” Paulus of Webster NY. She was blessed with 5 great grandchildren: Samuel, Elosie, and Micaela Safken, Weston & Harrison Bassett and several nieces, nephews and friends.

Friends and family may call MONDAY November 6, 2023 from 4-7 at Miller Funeral and Cremation Services, Inc. (3325 Winton Rd. S, Rochester, NY 14623). JoAnne’s Funeral Mass will be held 10 AM TUESDAY November 7, 2023 in St. Marianne Cope Parish at Guardian Angels (2061 East henrietta Rd., Rochester, NY 14623). Interment White Haven Memorial park.
