Daniel P Clark, 68, passed away peacefully at his home on December 26th, 2023. Dan, as he was known by his friends, was born in Geneva, NY to Lois (Landschoot) Clark and Ronald D Clark. Dan grew up on Canandaigua Lake where he developed a love of the water and boating that would last his entire life. Summers and weekends were often spent helping his paternal grandparents in their vineyards. Dan enjoyed wrestling and football during high school, as well as music, studying at Eastman School of Music. He was a talented pianist, organist, and brass player. After high school, Dan played in both the Rochester Crusaders and Rochester Phoenix Drum Corps.

In 1975, Dan started working at E I duPont DeNemours & Co. Inc. He made many friends and worked at the Rochester plant until it’s closing in 1993, moving to the plant in Towanda, PA where he worked until his retirement in 2017. In 1979, he married Nancy McMillan. In 1981, they welcomed a daughter, Adrianne, followed by a daughter, Courtenay in 1986. Dan’s love was expanded when his daughters married and gave him two grandsons and a granddaughter.

Dan is survived by his wife, Nancy; children, Adrianne and John Edlund and Courtenay Clark and Sara Abel, beloved grandchildren Kadan Abel, and Addison and Clark Edlund, as well as his mother, Lois (Landschoot) Clark, brother Jeff (Lisaann) Clark; sister Dawn (Scott) Robinson; niece, Sydney Robinson, as well as many Aunts, Uncles and cousins.

 

Calling hours will be Tuesday January 2nd, 2024 from 4pm-7pm Miller Funeral Home 3325 Winton Road South. Interment will be at the family’s convenience.
