Richard (Dick) R. Beisheim passed away at age 88 on December 29th 2023 after being diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in November.
He is predeceased by his son Robert and son-in-law Curt Waringa. He was the last surviving child of Walter and Grace Beisheim’s seven children; brother Walter and sisters Ruth, Lillian, Alma, Gladys and Lucille.
He is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Martha (Carr), daughter Linda Lou Waringa, grandchildren Adam (Jennifer) Waringa, Katelyn (Scott) Moll and Jack Daniel Waringa (Paige Jones); great grandsons David, Charlie, Arthur and Hunter; sister-in-laws Lucy Shaddix and Mildred Kelly.
He enlisted in the Navy during the Korean War at the age of 17. He worked at E.I. Dupont for 30 years where he was known as “Sam Esquire”. Richard enjoyed repairing small engines and tinkering with clocks. What made him stand out was his love for his family and all people. He would greet everyone whether he knew them or not with a smile on his face. He loved to tease and make people laugh. He was always there to help others in need.
Calling hours and service are at Pinnacle Lutheran Church, 250 Pinnacle Road from 10am to Noon SATURDAY January 6th. The service will begin at Noon. He will be laid to rest in Oakwood Cemetery.
