Michael James Tubbs 53 of Henrietta suddenly and unexpectedly passed away in the early hours of January 7, 2024.

He is survived by his wife and long time best friend Amy Tubbs (Snyder). His three daughters Kimberly Tubbs (Rochester), Robert and Alecia Lindmeier (Pennsylvania), Rebecca(Henrietta) and his 3 grand-babies kalia, Saniyah and Gatlin. And his beloved sister Judy Hennekey and brother in law (Mark Hennekey) of Avon and many nieces and nephew. He was a loyal friend and leaves many behind near and far in his passing.

He is predeceased by his mother MaryAnn Tubbs (Neider) and father Donald J Tubbs both of Avon NY. Grandparents and Brother in law John McCart.

Mike spent a lot of his years after marrying his wife on September 26, 1992  working many jobs. His most loved job was the supervisor role at the Rochester airport where he fueled airliners and de-iced planes for 15 years before leaving to work at many other small jobs. He then had a debilitating eye sight loss that hindered him from working and he found other activities to keep him busy.

He loved camping, hunting, fishing and getting outside when he could. He loved to be able to keep busy with his hands, from building model train sets while jamming to 80s and 90s music, to making cutting boards and building model rockets with his kids and grandkids and flying the biggest kites he could find on the internet. He was wise beyond his years and his loss of eye site never stopped him from doing what he loved the most. “Cooking” and he loved to share it with others. Most recently he got into big wood furniture building, and many people have pieces they can now remember him by. He loved getting outside and spending days at our family cabin just hanging out and fishing.

Mike was a long time and well known Moose Member of the Genesee Valley, Moose lodge. Where he served as president and vice president and held many other positions in his time there. He loved the place and spent most of his days there, dedicated to their mission of serving others.

Mike’s Funeral Service will be held at the Genesee Valley Henrietta Moose Lodge, 5375 W. Henrietta Rd., W. Henrietta, NY 14586 on SATURDAY January 20th at 1 PM. The family has asked for the courtesy of no flowers, but instead donate to the GoFundMe link, to help the family with funeral cost and to financially start over.
