Kathryn “Kathy” Obrist Colucci, of Victor, NY, died peacefully in her sleep on Saturday, February 10th at the age of 80 years young.

She was born in Adams Center, NY, on December 8th, 1943, and moved to Watertown, NY during her childhood. Her post-secondary education included Canton College, and upon graduation she continued to Rochester Institute of Technology where she earned her Bachelor’s of Science degree.

It was at R.l.T. where she met the love of her life, William “Bill” Colucci, and they became inseparable. Upon graduation and after the start of their careers, they married, and remained inseparable for the next 56 years.

To know Kathy was to love her. Her kindness, her generosity, her quiet strength and her strong Faith made her so wonderfully unique in this world. She was always available to lend an ear, to pray for those in need, and to support anyone who asked. Her kindness extended to all those around her; she truly believed that there was no such thing as a stranger, merely a friend she had not yet met.

She and Bill shared many adventures over the years, including living in multiple states and traveling the world together, all while raising in love and faith their two daughters. Their adventures continued after retirement, where she shared her love and faith in the Lord with her expanding family which includes two wonderful sons-in-law and four cherished grandchildren.

Her favorite saying was “Keep your fork…. for the best is yet to come.” She loved this not only in life, but in reflecting on the joyous reunion with her Savior in Heaven.

She was loved. She was treasured. And she will be missed. We will be lost without her, but we will do our best to not be sad, for we know she “kept her fork” and is now enjoying her reward in Heaven.

She is survived by her loving and devoted husband, Bill. Her daughter and son in-law Karen & Robert Grasso, her daughter and son-in-law Kristine & Mark DeNeve, and her grandchildren Victoria & Alexandra Amico and Robert & Kayla Grasso. She is also survived by her brothers, sister, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, numerous nieces and nephews, a very loving extended family, and countless friends.

Family and friends may call at Miller Funeral and Cremation Services of Victor, 301 W. Main Street, Victor, Thursday, February 15, 2024 from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM. Kathy’s Funeral Mass will be held Friday, February 16, 11 AM at Church of the Resurrection, 63 Mason Road, Fairport. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
