It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mary Elizabeth (Beth) Burditt on March 14, 2024 after a long and brave journey with brain cancer.

Beth was born in Amsterdam, NY in 1952. She graduated from Wilbur Lynch High School in 1970, and began her career at Hex Travel as a travel agent. In 1978, she opened her own business, Vacation Experts, with her partner Geri Giammatteo. After 25 years in business, she began as an employee of Living Resources Corporation, which provides programming and services for adults with disabilities. She was later promoted to Assistant Director of Administrative Services and retired after 18 years. Throughout her long career, she was deeply committed to her work, and she most enjoyed helping people – whether giving them an opportunity to see the world or giving them the tools they needed to live and thrive independently.

Beth is survived by her loving husband of 44 years, Kenneth Burditt, and her daughters Lindsay Burditt and Becky Burditt. She is predeceased by her parents, Rose (ne. Trolio) Bartosik and Lewis Bartosik, her sister Marie Bartosik, and her brothers Michael Bartosik and Nicholas Bartosik (wife Jessie).

Beth was a beloved wife, mother, and friend, and will be remembered for her strength and unfailing generosity. She loved spending time with her family, traveling, going for long walks around the neighborhood, gardening and landscaping, reading, and trying new recipes. She was deeply grateful for the compassionate care she received from nurses and doctors at the Wilmot Cancer Center, FF Thompson Hospital, and UR Medicine Hospice of Ontario-Yates County. Beth lived a life full of love and purpose and will be dearly missed by those she touched.

There will be no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to the Spina Bifida Association or the Double H Ranch.
