In loving memory of Richard Muchard, age 77, peacefully passed away at home on March 23, 2024 with his wife by his side. Richard was deeply devoted to his beloved wife Carol of 52 years. Their journey together began at Gannon College in 1967, where they met and built a love that lasted a lifetime. Together, they raised six children and reveled in the joy of being grandparents to 16 cherished grandchildren. Richard was affectionately known as Papa.

Richard’s roots in Victor, NY, ran deep. A graduate of Victor High School class of 1964, he distinguished himself as a star athlete on the basketball and track team. He then furthered his education at Gannon College in Erie PA where he was a member of the Alpha Phi Delta Fraternity. Richard found joy and solace on the farm, a reflection of his love for the outdoors. He was also a die-hard Buffalo Bills fan, symbolized by the team’s logo proudly painted on his barn silo.

Throughout his life, Richard balanced his dedication to family with his commitment to his career at Muchard Chevrolet, where he played an integral role as Vice President of sales operations. His professionalism, integrity, calm and warm demeanor endeared him to colleagues and customers alike, forging lasting friendships within the Victor community.

In his leisure time, Richard enjoyed golf, playing cards and sometimes could be found dancing the night away at Finger Lakes Casino, embracing the rhythm of life with a big smile on his face. His gentle spirit, kindness, and unwavering love enriched the lives of all who knew him. Richard will be remembered as a beloved husband, devoted father, proud grandfather, and cherished friend.

Though Richard’s physical presence may be gone, his legacy of love, laughter, and compassion will continue to inspire those whose lives he has touched. May he rest in eternal peace, surrounded by the warmth of cherished memories and the love of those who hold him dear.
