We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of William “Bill” T. Bump, a beloved partner, son, brother, favorite uncle, and dear friend to countless individuals whose lives he touched. Bill passed away peacefully on April 15th  after a brief illness. Throughout his 54 years, he enriched our lives with love, laughter, and countless memorable moments.

Born in Homer, NY, to Linda (Davis) O’Donnell and the late William J. Bump, Bill radiated joy to all who knew him. His stepfather, Gary O’Donnell, also preceded him in death.

For 35 years, Bill shared a loving and committed relationship with his partner, Jesse James. He leaves behind his mother, Linda O’Donnell; stepmother, Gloria Crandall; and sister, Cindy (Steve) Brown; brothers-in-law Frank James and Pat (Mary) James, sisters-in-law Winnie Jones, Shirley (Bahram) Asgharian and Maureen (Mike) Cleary, along with a loving family that includes his aunts, uncles, great aunts and uncles, cousins, twelve nieces and nephews, and ten great-nieces and nephews, all of whom he adored, as well countless friends who had the honor and good fortune to know him.

Throughout his career, Bill was a dedicated employee at Wegmans and BJ’s Wholesale Club, where his work ethic, kindness, and friendly demeanor made him a beloved colleague and friend.

Bill had an immeasurable love for his dogs – Hoosier, Guinness, Jake, Matty, and Olive – who were not just pets but cherished family members. He led a life marked with kindness and a gentle spirit that touched everyone around him. Bill was also an avid bowler and played for many years in the IGBO league and enjoyed weekends at his summer place in Warsaw, NY.

A celebration of Bill’s life will take place June 17th from 2-4PM at Miller Funeral and Cremation Services, Inc. (3325 Winton Rd. S) with a Memorial Service to follow at the funeral home at 4PM, where friends and family will gather to share stories, laughter, and tears, remembering the incredible person he was and the lasting mark he leaves on our hearts. Bill’s spirit and the love he shared will continue to inspire us forever.
