Jody Arthur Rose, 63, of Wolcott, NY, passed away on 4/15/24, surrounded by family. Jody fought a hard battle against prostate cancer for over six years, giving his family the gift of several unforgettable years with him. We are forever grateful for this gift.

Jody was born on March 23, 1961, to Gerald (Jerry) and Barbara Rose, in Rochester, NY. Jody grew up in a loving home in Henrietta NY, where he excelled in several sports including lacrosse and skiing. He continued his love of these sports well into his 50s. He graduated from Rush Henrietta Senior High School in 1979 and started his own family soon after in Henrietta. In 1981 he met Jacquelyn (Jackie) Ann Rose and they wed on May 19, 1984. With Jackie’s support, Jody opened and operated Rochester Collision Center in 1995, and soon after became a staple of Jefferson Road in 1997. Jody and Jackie welcomed their sons, Brandon, and Justin. Jody shared his love of lacrosse, boating, cars, construction, and willingness to help anyone in need, with his boys. Jody taught both boys how to drive a stick shift well before their 16th birthdays and the boys could often be found rolling around town with Jody in his iconic 67’ red Camaro.

Jody and Jackie spent over 40 loving years together building a life most can only dream of. They spent their time supporting their kids at sports events, navigating Lake Ontario on their family boat, camping both on the boat or solid ground, snowmobiling, cruising (nearly 20 cruises!), traveling to visit friends, renovating any and everything (both for themselves and helping others), gardening, and spending time with their vast network of friends that became family. Jody and Jackie often vacationed on Port Bay with their family, purchasing their current waterfront home in 2010. With the help of their local Port Bay friends and family, they expanded their home in 2019 to be a gathering place for their loved ones.

Jody and Jackie became Papa and Grandma in 2019 welcoming their first grandson, Colt, from Brandon and his wife Megan. Soon after, they welcomed Maverick, from Justin and his wife Kellie, and Cade (Brandon and Megan). Jody thrived as Papa and was known as the fun grandparent, always playing on the floor with his grandsons, giving horsey rides, and getting into mischief. His family is forever grateful for the years the boys had to get to know their Papa and will do everything they can to emulate his kindness, compassion, goofiness, and dedication to hard work for his grandsons.

Jody is predeceased by his parents, Jerry, and Barbara Rose. He is survived by his wife Jackie, their children Brandon (Megan) and Justin (Kellie), grandchildren Colt, Maverick, Cade, his brother Doug (Marianne), nieces Marcy and Maddy, brother-in-law Tom, sister-in-law Sue, niece Amy, countless aunts, uncles, and cousins. Losing Jody is an unquantifiable loss for our family. We love you.

Celebration of life will be held the weekend of June 1st and 2nd. June 1st will be a lacrosse game; details are still being finalized. June 2nd will be the celebration of Life at Woodcliff Hotel and Spa (199 Woodcliff Dr, Fairport, NY 14450) starting at 12pm-till
