Marguerite (Maggie) Robson Fratangelo peacefully passed away on April 27, 2024. Over the last few weeks she was saying that she felt she was slowing down. Her battery was slowly dying. She was born on October 13, 1929 in Geneva, New York to Charles and Emma Robson and lived to 94 years old.

Maggie married Donald Fratangelo in 1952, who she met through working together at the Seneca Army Depot. They moved to a farm in Stanley and raised two children, Patricia and Bruce. Maggie put together a ceramic studio and taught ceramics. She was also a Cub Scout Den Mother and held regular meetings with the cub scouts. She often did judging at local fairs for food items. She and her husband also did flea markets in Canandaigua and joined the Covered Bridge Society where they traveled around looking for and discovering covered bridges.

Maggie had a full life with traveling to such places as Aruba, Hawaii, New Zealand, and Ireland. She did a Polar Bear Plunge in Baldwinsville. She made four skydives in Ovid. She often flew in her daughter’s plane. She made it a point to attend every event and festivity that her children and grandchildren were involved in.

Maggie lived at Vienna Gardens in Phelps the last six years. She loved it there and she was loved in return. As time went on, she needed more help. Tony and Randy, Dee and Kristi, and Kim and Amanda, we cannot thank enough. Maggie developed many friendships there. Jerry said that he thought of her as a sister. Carol saw her as a good friend. Many were taken back by her death.

Maggie was predeceased by her husband, Donald, her brothers and sisters in law, Howard and Aggie Robson, and Donnie and Sandy Robson along with her son, Bruce Fratangelo.

She is survived by her daughter and son in law, Patricia Fratangelo and John King. Her grand children Sydelle (Matt) Seward and Brent (Kaitlyn) Fratangelo. Great grandchildren Cainan and Eliana Seward.

Along with eleven nieces and nephews with their families.

A special thanks to Debbie, Donna, Joe and Anna Fratangelo for all the visits and lunches. Thank you to Jeff and Emily Foster for the deep friendship.

As per Maggie’s wishes there will be no ceremony. She was cremated on May 1st. She will make her last skydive with ashes spread over our airport in Ovid with family and friends. There will be food and a grand celebration. Her celebration will be held Tuesday May 14th from 11AM – 3 PM at the Ovid Airport (2562 Parish Rd, Ovid, NY 14521).
