Margo Eva Treer
ROCHESTER – June 10, 1924 – December 17, 2020
Preceded in death by her husband Paul. Survived by nieces Monica George (John) and Bianca Martinovich (Laci), nephew Peter Orffy (Zso’fi), many grand nieces and grand nephews, sister-in-law Marta (Babszi) Tamm, cousin Zoltan Boros, caring neighbors Chloe Larson (Mike), Lily Shaw, Ed Daly, David Johnson, and many dear friends. Born in Hungary, Margo and Paul escaped after the Russian invasion in 1956, when they emigrated to the United States. After moving to Rochester Margo worked as a drafts-person for Stromberg-Carlson for 22 years, supporting her relatives in Hungary during the communist occupation. Margo, a nature lover, was a passionate birder and an enthusiastic classical music devotee. She will be greatly missed by those whose lives she touched with her kindness, compassion, and generosity.
A Mass celebrating Margo’s life will be at St. Thomas More Church after the pandemic subsides.
