Robert A. Pugliese

Pittsford – On May 31, 2024 at age 72. He is predeceased by his parents, Arthur and Caroline Pugliese; and sister, Marlene Vorndran. Robert is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Patricia; children, Maryann Hallatt, Rachel (Daniel) Byndas and Justin (Joellen) Pugliese; grandchildren, Jonathan and Rebecca Hallatt, Owen Byndas, Christian and Austin Pugliese; great-grandchildren, Miles and Beckett Clasey; sister, Donna Shadders’ brother-in-law, Bob Vorndran; several nieces and nephews.

Bob grew up in Rochester, graduated from East High School, and was a member of the Humboldt Hound Dogs. He was in the Army Reserves. He married the love of his life, Patty, in 1982. They moved to Pittsford in 1990. Bob loved supporting his children in their various activities…sports, music, and school. There were many basketball games in the driveway and lots of fun had in the pool. He never stopped supporting them even as adults. Bob also loved helping take care of his grandchildren. He was great at playing pretend with them and loved to joke with them. He took such good care of them. Bob enjoyed playing cards and other games, and always tried to get in a little cheating when he could. Bob loved music, particularly jazz and John Lennon. He loved guitars, listening to cds, and going to concerts. He also loved cars and enjoyed driving around in his Mustang convertible. Bob also enjoyed traveling, especially to Maine, and to Lancaster to visit his sister. Bob has been a member of Joy Community Church for over 30 years. He spent the last year taking care of his beloved wife while she has been battling Leukemia. Bob was a gentle man with a strong faith and big heart. He will be greatly missed.
