Modesta Pacheco, Beloved Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother passed away on June 19, 2024 at the age of 89 after a long battle with Alzheimer disease. Modesta was born in Indiana, a small town in the state of Sao Paulo, Brazil.

She is predeceased by her husband of 62 years, Joe Pacheco. She leaves to cherish her memory, Daughters Eliana (Klaus) Sueli (David), Marli and Roseli. Grandchildren Christopher (Lisa), Luca (Kathrin), Jacob (Jess), Joshua, Amanda (Brendon), Serina (Nicholas) along with Great-granddaughters Charlotte and Brooklyn, a sister Serene and many nieces and nephews.

Modesta was cherished as a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother whose life revolved around her family with boundless love and care. Her culinary talents were legendary, from her mouthwatering lasagna to her famous stuffing and a Portuguese favorite “malasada”. Every dish she crafted was a masterpiece that brought joy to all who tasted it.

Her presence in her grandchildren’s lives was truly irreplaceable. Throughout their childhood, she lovingly nurtured their imaginations and created a home where cherished memories were made and stories shared.

In honoring Modesta’s memory, we celebrate a life well-lived. A life defined by love, generosity, and the profound impact she had on all who were fortunate enough to know her. Her legacy of kindness and unwavering dedication to family will continue to inspire us all and live on through the generations to come. Those of us who she is survived by will hold her memories forever in our hearts.

A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday July the 3rd at 10AM in the Interfaith Chapel of Miller Funeral and Cremation Services, Inc., 3325 Winton Road South. The service will be Live Streamed for those unable to attend through the funeral home website and the View Live Services tab. CLICK HERE for the livestream. Contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association in her memory.
