David P. Miller unexpectedly passed away on 21 December 2020 at the age of 68.
Following a 29-year career, as a Regional Supervisor for Cole, Layer & Trumble (a subsidiary of Tyler Technologies), Dave forged a second career as a self-employed consultant in mass appraisal services in the greater Rochester area.
While Dave was an avid reader of mystery and science fiction, collecting a variety of authors, his lifelong passion was music. Dave played keyboard in high school and went on to star as the lead character “Curly” in the musical “Oklahoma.” He continued playing in various bands in college and later in life regenerated his love of music by taking guitar lessons. Dave’s music interests expanded from performing to video editing, production and photography. He specifically loved documenting music for local, regional, and national talent. Dave loved the Rochester music scene and attended music events throughout the year, making many friends along the way. Much of his work is available at www.RuffyDogg.com.
In the last couple of years, Dave became the proud fur-ever parent to two rescue dogs, Penny Lane and Pepper Potts. Long professing to be a “cat person,” Dave discovered he really did like dogs. A lot.
Dave is predeceased by his parents Dorothy Ellison Miller and Richard V. Miller; survived by his wife Jennie Claxton Miller, son Scott (Melissa) Miller and daughter Sarah (Nicola) Liskovec; and grandchildren Caden, Paige, and Cale Miller.
