February 5, 1956 – July 22, 2024
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Michael Anthony Cordello. Michael peacefully passed away on July 22, 2024, at the age of 68. He was predeceased by his parents, Anthony Sr. and Rosalie Cordello, and his brother David Cordello. He is survived by his sons and daughter-in-law, Michael Cordello Jr. (Sara) and Joseph Cordello; his brother, Anthony Cordello Jr. (Lori) and his sister, Noreen Barrese (Craig); and his nephews and nieces, David Cordello Jr., Thomas Barrese, Christine Cordello, Maria Cordello, Alaina Cordello (Ricky), Michelle Cordello, and Dana Anticoli (Matthew). He is also survived by his great-nephews and great-niece, Dominic, Dean and Aliviah, as well as his loving partner, Ellen Rosenzweig-Goldman.
We will always remember Michael’s beautiful smile and his love of family and friends. We’d like to recognize some of his closest friends, including Jay, Art, Tim, Rick (KK), Frank, and Donna just to name a few as there are many.
Michael was a devoted father, son, brother, and friend. He was an involved and proud father who especially loved coaching his son’s youth baseball teams. His passion and enthusiasm made him a favorite among the children and the parents.
He was a lifelong motorcycle enthusiast. He loved his Harley Davidson Road King and made many great friendships while riding. He was also proud of his 1983 cross-fire fuel-injected Camaro Z28. Michael was known for those vehicles, his great smile, and his amazing head of hair.
Michael loved to tinker with new technology, and he was great at it! He loved computers and gadgets, not just like some of us do, but he was building computers and fixing them for friends when most didn’t even know what a modem was.
Michael was an extremely talented hairstylist and businessman. He owned and operated a hair salon in Brighton, NY, for many years called Headquarters. He also enjoyed working alongside his family members and friends as a member of Local B-90 Ushers Union. He enjoyed music and sports. Many Sunday’s his home was filled with family and friends watching the Buffalo Bills and other times the Buffalo Sabres and the New York Yankees.
A few years ago, Michael met Ellen. They had a wonderful, caring, and fun relationship. They often traveled to the lake house and went on some bucket list trips, enjoying places like New Orleans and California.
Friends and Family may call TUESDAY July 30, 2024 from 4-7 at Miller Funeral and Cremation Services, Inc. (3325 Winton Rd. S., Rochester, NY 14623). Michael’s Funeral Mass will be held 10 AM WEDNESDAY July 31, 2024 in St. Marianne Cope Parish (2061 East Henrietta Rd., Rochester, NY 14623).
Michael will be missed by many. He was courageous from the first day of learning his diagnosis. In lieu of flowers, Michael and the family strongly encourage donations be made to the Pancreatic Cancer Association of Western New York.
