Passed away on August 16 at the age of 96. Predeceased by his son Todd (Lisa) Abel, parents Mable and Arthur Abel, sister Norma (Jerry) Vanderstyne and brothers Robert, Kenneth, Bill, Jack, and Donald. He is survived by Janice, his loving wife of 72 years, daughter Kim (Rich) Boyes; grandchildren Morgan Abel, Quinn Abel, Malorie (Jeff) Johnson and Alex Boyes; great grandchildren, Grant and Cora Johnson; brother David (Karen) Abel; many nieces and nephews.

Bruce loved his family, golfing, boating, and enjoyed the many winters he and Janice spent on Hilton Head Island. He had a great sense of humor and could fix anything, always happy to help friends and neighbors. He will be deeply missed.

A funeral mass will be held on September 20 at 1pm at St. Louis Church in Pittsford. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Pittsford Volunteer Ambulance or St. Louis Church.
