Johanna M. “Joan” Winterkorn

Johanna M. “Joan” Winterkorn of Rochester, NY, passed away on September 10, 2024, at the age of 88. Joan was born on January 22, 1936, in Rochester, NY. She is predeceased by her husband, Francis Winterkorn; parents, Dirk and Myrtle Oukes; daughter, Johanna Laratonda; grandsons, Justin and Jason Winterkorn; sister and best friend, Irene Upham; brother, Jacob (Betty) Oukes. Joan is survived by her children, Rita (Robin) Banaszak, Dirk (Lynn) Winterkorn, Robert (Karen) Winterkorn, Andy Winterkorn and Joseph (Anna) Winterkorn; son-in-law, John Laratonda; grandchildren, Jessica, Rebecca and Emily Banaszak, Annie, Patrick, Nicole, Symphony, Jahnaya, Ashley and Ryan Winterkorn and Andrew Laratonda; great-grandchildren, Natalie, Aden and Sadie Banaszak, Cameron and Kody Willette, Kayden Cooper, Jeremiah, Kevin and Aiden Luck and Camden Winterkorn; and sister, Joyce (Leonard) Syverson.

Family and friends may call at Miller Funeral and Cremation Services, 3325 Winton Road South, Sunday, September 15, 2024 from 2:00 PM– 5:00 PM. Joan’s Funeral Mass will be held Monday, 10:00 AM at Blessed Sacrament Church, 534 Oxford St, Rochester, NY 14607. Interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Camp Good Days and Special Times in her memory.
