Kevin Jay Albert
Kevin “Boppy” Albert passed away Tuesday, September 10, 2024 at home in Rochester, NY. He was born October 6, 1949 in South Bend, IN to John Otto and Ellen Louise (Schang) Albert. He graduated from Indiana State Terre Haute and moved to Rochester, NY in the 1970s.
He is survived by his wife of 36 years Mary Jo (Liss) Albert; his children Jeff (Ashley) Albert, Tae (Andy) Smith, Roan (Bianca) Ciardi, and Christine (Dave Dillman) Albert; his grandchildren Otto, Jaylee, Maggie, Nora, Ciara, Manni, Dominic, Philomena, Blaise, Gemma, Lyla, Grant and Jack.
He is also survived by his sister Margie (James) Walz, his brother Dan (Cindy Brown) Albert, sister-in-law Linda Albert, and brother-in-law Greg/Creamo (Michele Cooper) Liss. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews including the Albert, Joo, Luczynski and Troester families in Indiana, Liss families in New York and Utah, Ciardi and Reid families in New York and Wisconsin and Smith-Redicks in Virginia.
He was predeceased in death by his parents.
He had countless friends and acquaintances from his career in the wine and liquor industry who along with his neighbors and URMC Hospice were a tremendous help in his final days.
At Kevin’s request there will be no calling hours, but a celebration of life will be Sunday, October 20, 2024 from 1-4 pm at Compane Trattoria, 25 Parce Avenue, Fairport, NY 14450. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Wounded Warrior Project or a charity of your choice is appreciated.
