Marie Bonnie Jean Matteson

Passed away on Sunday, January 19, 2025 at age 86, surrounded by her loving husband, children, and grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents Clyde & Ida Learn; step-brothers, Harold & John Vorhees; brothers-in-law, Eldon, Donald & Ron Matteson.

She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Leo; their children, Patricia (Richard) Hoiles, Sandra (Joe) Hansen, Michelle (Michael) Clark; grandchildren, Christopher Hoiles, Amanda (Jake) Bement, Kyle Barnhart, Ryan (Beth) Barnhart, Sean (Rosalba) Hansen; great-grandchildren, Cayden and Addison Hoiles, Charlie and Henry Bement; sisters-in-law, Ann Matteson, Barb Matteson, along with several nieces and nephews.

Born in Westfield, PA and raised in Olean NY. She was a nurse’s aide at St. Francis Hospital in Olean and then married the love of her life Leo in 1965. They spent 60 wonderful years together. They raised their 3 daughters in Farmington.

When Marie wasn’t out garage saling or looking for a good deal at the stores, she was an avid camper and loved to sit and laugh with her family and friends.

Friends and family are invited to call from 2:00 – 4:00 PM, followed by a 4:00 PM Funeral Service, all held on Friday, January 24, 2025 at Miller Funeral and Cremation Services of Victor, Inc. 301 W. Main Street. Private interment to take place at Whitesville Rural Cemetery.
