Barbara Y. Salisbury, age 85 of Racine, Wisconsin died on Sunday, January 19 in Rochester, New York. Barb was born on April 24, 1939, in Easton PA to the late Franklin and Beulah Schick Young. She graduated from Wilson Borough High School in 1957 and attended Lankenau Hospital School of Nursing, graduating in 1960. Barbara worked as a nurse for many years, ending her career at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Wisconsin.

In addition to caring for her family, Barb always enjoyed reading, sewing and all types of needlework. She was an avid quilter and became involved in the Racine quilting community. She was a longtime member of the Racine Yacht Club, sailing on Pot o’ Gold with family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her brother Robert and her sister Louise.

She is survived by her husband Richard of 65 years, and her daughters Susan (David), and Cindy (Troy) and grandchildren Steven (Katherine), Elizabeth, Margaret (Chris) and Alex.

Burial will be at the convenience of the family at Northhampton Memorial Shrine in Easton. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (www.lls.org).
