She was a devoted mother to her son, Jacob Joanette (Gia), and a loving stepmother to Aaron, Rachel, Lindsey, and Courtney.

Laura spent over 20 wonderful years with her cherished partner, Marc Skirvin. Together, they shared a love for the outdoors, made lasting memories, and rooted for her Buffalo Bills.

A woman with a heart full of love, kindness, and joy, Laura lived a vibrant life. She was a proud employee of the University of Rochester, where she worked in the purchasing department for many years. Known for her warm, welcoming spirit, she made a positive impact on everyone she met.

Laura found joy in crafting and loved to celebrate every holiday with those she held dear.

She is survived by her parents, her son, her siblings, her beloved Marc, nieces and nephews, and her best friend Aliza Gabay. Laura’s legacy of warmth, kindness, and unwavering love will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Friends and family may call THURSDAY January 30th from 4-7 at Miller Funeral and Cremation Services, Inc. (3325 Winton Rd. S) where Laura’s Service will be held 10 AM FRIDAY January 31st. Interment Pine Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to the Wilmot cancer Center in Laura’s name.
