Audrey Carey of Black Lake, NY. Passed away on February 6, 2025 at the age of 87. Audrey was born on April 30, 1937 in Lockport, NY. She is predeceased by her parents, siblings and her son Thomas Carey. She is survived by her husband of 71 years, Charles; children, Wanda (Dana) Drake of NY, Jeff (Kim) Carey of NY, Kelly (Todd Whittenberg) Patrick of MI, Sherrie Pinkston of NY. Special niece Tina (Tyler) Child of TX; 16 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.

In her younger years she enjoyed roller skating where she met the love of her life and together they had 5 children. Later in life she enjoyed reading, fishing, bowling, euchre and ceramics with her sister Gladys.

Audrey was a Teacher’s Aide in the Rush-Henrietta School District at Charles H Roth High School until she moved to Azle, TX where she was a Paraprofessional at Azle  Jr. High until she retired at the age of 70.  She enjoyed working with the middle school children.
