Kathy McClurg Dudarchik
October 22, 1956 – March 1, 2025

After facing cancer with strength and grace, Kathy McClurg Dudarchik, 68, passed away peacefully on March 1, 2025.

Born on October 22, 1956, in Canandaigua, NY, Kathy was the daughter of the late Richard and Geraldine McClurg. She grew up with her parents, two sisters, and grandparents on the family farm in Farmington. She attended Victor Central School, graduating in 1974.

Kathy continued her education at SUNY Oswego, where she earned a degree in early childhood education. Kathy worked for several years as a pre-school teacher, enjoying her time with and nurturing the three and four-year-old students whom she loved. Kathy had recently retired from her position at DSS where she worked to support numerous clients over her 20-year tenure.

Kathy was very talented, especially in arts and crafts. She created many special pieces that will be forever cherished by her family and friends. She enjoyed music and movies and was especially accomplished at board games. Her sense of humor remained one of her greatest gifts. She had a sharp wit, a goofy streak, and a knack for turning everyday moments into laughter. Her humor was not just a source of joy but demonstrated her resilience and creativity, and it will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

Surviving Kathy are her sisters, Carol and Colleen, her daughter, Jessica, her cherished companion and chosen family, Edward, as well as several devoted nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A private green burial was held on March 7, 2025, at White Haven Memorial Park in Pittsford, NY. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

Kathy’s memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
