John (Jack) Gottermeier sadly left our world on April 27, 2025.  Survived by his loving wife, best friend, and partner in life, Kathy; sons Dan Gottermeier (Michelle) , Frank Calaci (Angie), Anthony Calaci (Sonja), daughter Jude Dixon (Richard) brothers Kevin Gottermeier (Maryann), Robert Gottermeier ( Linda), and sister Virginia Sullivan, many grandchildren,  great grandchildren,  nieces, nephews, and loving companion,  Teddy.

Predeceased by his father John Gottermeier,  mother Eleanor Gottermeier,  and sister Patricia Marletta.

John (Jack) Gottermeier, a beloved husband, father, and grandfather, passed away after over 43 years of marriage to his wife, Kathy.  Together, they built a loving family and home, sharing life’s joys and challenges.  A dedicated Navy veteran of the Vietnam era, he was also a passionate car enthusiast, spending countless hours maintaining his collection, regardless of the weather.  His favorite pastime was relaxing at home, watching the cars pass by Canandaigua Lake with his companion, Teddy.  He enjoyed fine dining and socializing at local establishments such as Nolan’s and Don’s Original, especially when his granddaughter, Victoria, was present.

Calling hours will be held at Miller Funeral and Cremation Services of Victor, 301 W. Main Street, Victor, on Friday, May 2, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM.  A Funeral Mass will be held Saturday, May 3, 2025, 1:00 PM at St. Mary’s Church, 95 N Main St, Canandaigua, NY 14424. Interment to follow at Calvary Cemetery.
