Ana passed December 28, 2020 at the age of 84 at home surrounded by family and friends.  She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Ferdinand “Freddy-Baby”, son Steve, daughter Dawn (Jeff), two grandchildren, a niece and a nephew and other friends and family.  She was born in Colombia and lived in the Caribbean and traveled throughout Europe.  After following her family, Ana came to the US in 1965.  She married Freddy-Baby in 1966.  Ana enjoyed family vacations in Central NY and across the border in Toronto and somehow could make a slot machine payoff just by talking to it.  She loved God and had a special fondness for St. Anthony especially if she was looking for something, like a parking space at Wegmans.  Ana’s passion for gardening showed in her green thumb and she had a love of all things patriotic especially after becoming a US citizen.  She was a devoted Middle School Spanish teacher at Our Lady of Mercy.  Ana also spent time as a florist and spent countless hours as a church volunteer.  Her creative side always flourished from sewing projects to working with clay.  Ana was an amazing wife, mother, and grandmother.  The funeral mass and subsequent interment were private.  In lieu of flowers, please put a smile on Mom’s face and help out a stranger in need. “God Be With You”
