On June 14, 2025, Donald Thomas McNeil was called home to the Lord after a courageous battle with ALS. Don was born and raised in Henrietta, New York. He is predeceased by his parents Richard Howard McNeil, Marguerite Rose Pawluk and sister Trisha McNeil.

Don is survived by his brother Scott (Barb) McNeil; sisters Marlene (David) Capozzi, Betty (Paul) Kuter; nieces and nephews Christopher and Justine Capozzi, Steven and Brigette Kuter, Matthew, Stephanie and Ryan McNeil, Jessica and Jennifer Savage.

Don had many passions in life such as a love for music, playing the guitar, writing, working out, and martial arts. In his younger years Don was an avid hockey player and the family prankster. He was an honors graduate of Monroe Community College and studied at the University of Rochester. Don worked in many areas of the trades. He was a very humble soul and free spirit. He was especially giving as he was an organ donor. Don was of Christian faith, a believer in Jesus Christ.

Don will be dearly missed forever and always. A special thank you to the palliative care team at Strong Memorial Hospital and Dr. Mongiovi. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the ALS Association in his memory.

A celebration of life will be held at Miller Funeral and Cremation Services INC (3325 Winton Rd South, Rochester, New York 14623) on June 24, 2025 at 11:00am.

Private Family interment to be held.
