Margaret “Marnie” Lourdes Byrne Cavalier, born on August 28, 1954, in Utica, NY, to the late Francis and Margaret Byrne. Beloved bride of James Cavalier, adored mother of Francis (Eileen) and Michael (fiancée Nicole Tarnow) Cavalier.

Bonus mom to Rene (Mark) Rodriguez, the late Denise (Michael) McCulley and the late Janine (James Schultz). Sister to Patrick (Linda Sue “Suzi”) Byrne, Julie Byrne, and Michele (Thomas “Trent”) Stetz.

Marnie cherished her grandchildren, Joseph Cavalier, Summer and Tyler Rodriguez, Owen and Rory Cavalier, and Murphy Tarnow. She will be missed dearly by nephew Shawn (Amanda) Byrne, and their children Marshall and Cora-Allison, and the late Christopher (Dana) Byrne.

Marnie passed away peacefully at home on July 1, 2025. She spent her life caring for her family and friends and was an extremely talented embroiderer who loved bringing her customers’ ideas to life. She enjoyed traveling the country with her husband, visiting friends and family along the way.
