Florence passed away August 23, 2025 at the age of 89.

Predeceased by her loving and dedicated husband of 66 years, Joseph; her parents, George & Helen Gartland, and son Kenneth. Survived by her children, Patty (Steve) Vlasak, Tim (Kathy), Mike (Candi), Curt (Maryellen), Marybeth (Jim) Schum, Amy (Steve) Ashe; daughter-inlaw Danielle; 19 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren, and 2 more to be expected.

Florence was many things including a daughter, wife, mother, sister, and grandmother. Most importantly she was the backbone and foundation of her family.

Family and friends are invited to call on September 5, 2025, from 4-7 PM at Miller Funeral and Cremation Services (3325 Winton Rd S). Florence’s Memorial Service will be held the following day September 6, 2025 at 10am in the funeral home’s Interfaith chapel. Interment at Maplewood Cemetery to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Honor Flight Rochester.
