Passed away on Saturday, February 6 at age 85. Predeceased by her devoted husband, Raymond; and her loving partner, Duncan Wright. She is survived by her children, Raymond A., Gary, and Kathy (Jay) Masters; grandchildren, Chri

stopher Kaseman and Danielle (Jimmy) Kalinowski; step-grandchildren, Noah (Ashley) Masters and Jared Masters; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Lena was born in the small mountain town of Cerda in Sicily, the youngest of four daughters. She learned to sew at a young age, which helped her earn money for her family while her father fought in WWII. In 1958, Lena met her husban

d, Raymond, and emigrated to Rochester, NY. She worked as a seamstress while attending night school to learn English, and was proud to have passed her driver’s test on the first attempt. Lena became a U.S. citizen and voted in every presidential election through 2020. Lena left her job at Eastman Kodak to become head seamstress at B. Forman Company when Long Ridge Mall opened, and stayed there until her retirement. In 2010, while volunteering at the Italian American Community Center, Lena met Duncan Wright and fell in love. Lena enjoyed traveling, cooking, and knitting. Her grandchildren, Christopher and Danielle, were the lights of her life.

The family would like to extend special thanks to her niece, Sandra Acito, for her love

and support; to Marie Campomizzi, Connie Broughan, and Norman and Susan Sturman for their dear friendship; and to the staffs at Legacy at Parklands and St. John’s Home for their kindness and care.

Services will be held privately.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Lena’s memory to Wilmot Cancer Institute (click HERE to donate online) or American Heart Association (click HERE to donate online).
