Rob was born on August 2, 1969, at Luke Air Force Base in Arizona, to Karen Thomas Montgomery and Robert C. Montgomery III. He grew up in Bloomfield, NY and was a 1987 graduate of Bloomfield Central School. He later attended Finger Lakes Community College, earning a degree in Hospitality and Tourism Management.
Rob was a proud United States Marine, serving honorably from 1987 to 1993. His service to others continued throughout his life. He was currently employed as the Head Custodian at Burger Junior High School in the Rush-Henrietta School District, where he was deeply respected and beloved by staff and colleagues alike. Rob took great pride in his work and in the relationships he built each day. Rob was always going out of his way to help others, whether it meant snow-blowing a neighbor’s driveway in the winter or lending a hand wherever it was needed.
Above all else, Rob was devoted to his family. He is survived by his loving wife, Jennifer Kunselman Montgomery, and their daughter, Addison Montgomery, both of Henrietta, NY, as well as two beloved dogs, Daphne and Dexter. He is also survived by his daughter, Victoria (Tylar) Montgomery of Normal, Illinois, and his two grandsons, Oliver and Lionel.
In addition to his wife and children, Rob is survived by both of his parents, Karen Thomas Montgomery of Phoenix, AZ, and Robert C. Montgomery III of Bloomfield, NY; his mother-in-law, Margo Hanmer Landries of Olean, NY; his sister, Kellie Montgomery of Penfield, as well as brothers and sisters-in-law, aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, David Montgomery and father-in-law, Donald Landries.
Rob was an avid Buffalo Bills fan and was especially proud to serve as an administrator of the Official Buffalo Bills Mafia Facebook Group. He loved attending hard rock concerts, watching football and NASCAR, and most recently, creating thoughtful and personalized gifts with his 3D printer. He was a devoted member of Ely Fagan American Legion Post 1151 in Henrietta, NY.
Calling hours will be held SUNDAY, February 15, 2026, from 1-4PM at Miller Funeral and Cremation Services (3325 Winton Rd S).
In tribute to Rob’s lifelong passion for the Buffalo Bills and his deep pride in Bills Mafia, guests are encouraged to wear their favorite Buffalo Bills gear or dress in red and blue as a colorful celebration of the team he so faithfully supported.
