Ellen W. Gaffney (Wilmot)

Pittsford: Passed away unexpectedly on March 20, 2026 at age 59. She was predeceased by her parents, Robert “Big Bob” and Doris Wilmot. She is survived by her husband of 31 years, Tim Gaffney; children, Bobby, C.J., and Shane Gaffney; siblings, Robert J. Wilmot, Michael (Sandy) Wilmot, Betty Anne (Warren) Waldow; Barbara (Bill) Cowley; many nieces, nephews, and dear friends.

Ellen will be remembered as a devoted wife to her husband Tim, spending over three decades making him smile and laugh and raising three incredible sons. She was a proud boy mom, attending each of her sons’ sporting events and baking them fresh chocolate chip cookies every morning before school. Fondly referred to as “Elmo” or “Little Wilmot”, she always had a twinkle in her eye, lit up a room, and kept life interesting for her four older brothers and sisters, who adored her. She was always happy to open her home to friends and family, hosting Thanksgiving and Christmas Eve for years, and was famous for her pepperoni bread. She was a lifelong lover of animals, whether it was dog walking through Pittsford or horseback riding with her sister.

Family and friends are invited to call on Friday, March 27th from 4-7 PM at Miller Funeral and Cremation Services, Inc., 3325 Winton Road South. Services and Interment will be held privately.
