Passed in the arms of his loving wife, of 54 years in May, on March 22, 2026 at age 79.

He is predeceased by his parents, August and Catherine Chipre; sisters, Adelaide Marino and Sandra Chipre.

He is survived by his wife, Deborah J. Chipre (Fuoco); children, Joseph Chipre, Katharine (Travis) Betters, and Elizabeth (Tom) Scariza; grandchildren, Josephine and Alexander Betters, Cecilia Chipre; sister, Marilyn Myers; brother, James Chipre; brothers-in-law, Michael Fuoco and Robert Wegman; niece, Tracie Myers.

Joseph will be remembered by his family as a proud Army veteran who loved his family and the outdoors, and for his great sense of accomplishment as a graduate from Rochester Institute of Technology. A deeply faithful man, who will be dearly missed by his family and friends.

Joseph’s funeral mass will be held at 10 AM on Friday, March 27, 2026 at St. Patrick’s Church in Victor (115 Maple Avenue, Victor, NY 14564) His burial is to follow at Pine Hill Cemetery in Rush, NY. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Victor Farmington Ambulance and the ICU at Strong Hospital.
