With heavy hearts but also deep gratitude for the years we were given, we announce the passing of Geraldine Margaret Walter, a devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend, who loved nothing more than sharing time with family and friends, sitting back and taking in all the joy and laughter that comes with time together.  Gerry often said that she was never happier than when she was expecting – so having given life to 7 children, she was obviously very happy!

Gerry is predeceased by her husband and our dad, Bill Walter, after 43 years of marriage.  Gerry is survived by her children, who were her greatest pride: Margaret McCabe (Eugene McCabe), Patricia Tyrrell (Frederick Tyrrell), William Walter (Laurie Walter), James Walter (Rebecca Walter – deceased, Elizabeth Riccio), Peter Walter (Terri Walter), Janice Ferrick (Patrick Ferrick), John Walter. Gerry’s legacy continues through her 15 cherished grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren, each of whom brought her joy, laughter, and endless pride. 

A memorial service is scheduled for 9:30 am on Monday June 8th at St Mary’s of the Assumption Roman Catholic Church in Lancaster, NY.
