In Loving Memory of Rudy Enck
Rudy Enck, born July 5, 1936, passed away peacefully on June 6, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family.
Rudy is survived by his beloved wife of 69 years, Nancy Enck; his children, Bob Enck and his wife Marcia, Dave Enck and his wife Kelly, and Kathy Deer and her husband Rob; his grandchildren, Brian Enck and his wife Lakshmi, Kevin Enck and his wife Liz, Allie Enck, and Cody Enck; and his great-grandchildren, Mackenzie Enck and Madison Enck. Rudy was predeceased by his brother, Edward Enck.
Rudy lived a remarkable life defined by intelligence, curiosity, kindness, and dedication to the people and work he loved. He earned his Ph.D. in physics and built a distinguished career as a physicist, specializing in measurement. His work reflected the precision and creativity of a true scientist. Most recently, he was well known for measuring heat dissipation in ceramic packages using an infrared X-ray system that he designed himself. His ability to understand complex problems and create meaningful solutions was one of the many ways he left a lasting impact on those around him.
Beyond his professional accomplishments, Rudy was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. His family was the center of his life, and he gave generously of his time, knowledge, and heart.
He also had a deep love for coaching sports. Over the years, he coached his children’s baseball, basketball, football, and softball teams. He was not simply a coach who showed up; he studied each sport closely, learned its details, and found thoughtful ways to teach the game to his players. His ability to pass along knowledge, encourage young athletes, and help them grow was truly special. Even years later, people still share stories of how he was the best coach they ever had — a testament to the lasting influence he had on so many lives.
Rudy will be remembered for his brilliant mind, his patient teaching, his love of family, and the steady, generous way he helped others become better. His legacy lives on through his family, the many people he coached and mentored, and all who were fortunate enough to know him.
He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
