Edward Simon, age 89, passed away peacefully on June 18, 2026.

Edward was a devoted husband, proud veteran, skilled craftsman, educator, and friend whose quiet strength and dedication touched the lives of many. He is survived by his beloved wife, Judy Simon, with whom he shared 66 wonderful years of marriage.

He is also survived by his nieces, Melissa (Patrick) Pancione, Sarah (Keith) Miller, and Laura (Mickey) Marlowe, as well as several great-nieces and great-nephews, all of whom held a special place in his heart.

Edward proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. Following his military service, he built a distinguished career as a Tool and Die Maker, a profession he practiced with exceptional skill and pride for most of his life. After retirement, he continued to share his knowledge and passion for the trade by teaching as an adjunct instructor at Rochester Institute of Technology, inspiring a new generation of craftsmen.

Beyond his professional accomplishments, Edward found great joy in life’s simple pleasures. He was an avid gardener who took pride in cultivating beautiful gardens and enjoyed spending time outdoors. He also loved taking long walks, appreciating nature and the peace it brought him.

Edward will be remembered for his dedication to his family, his service to his country, his commitment to his craft, and the kindness he showed to those around him. His legacy lives on in the many lives he touched and the lessons he shared.

He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by his family and friends.

Edward’s funeral Service will be held at 1PM, Monday, June 22, 2026, at Miller Funeral and Cremation Services, Inc. (3325 Winton Road South, Rochester, NY 14623). Interment to follow at Riverside Cemetery.
