Nadia Rusinovich passed away unexpectedly on June 16, 2026. She is predeceased by her father Michael Rusinovich; brother Greg Rusinovich; and in-laws Laura and Barry O’Brien.

She is survived by her wife Shelley O’Brien, the love of her life for 45 years; mother Luba Rusinovich; siblings Simon Rusinovich, Olga (Peter) Verhoef, Michael Rusinovich; brother in-law John (Lindsay) O’Brien; sister in-law Shannon O’Brien; nephew Nicholas (Quinn Butterman) Verhoef; nieces McKalli O’Brien, Lily O’Brien; Aunt Olga Astahoff; furry friend Iggy; fish friend Carol; and so many more family and friends.

Nadia worked at Bausch & Lomb for 37 years, admired and respected as a senior research scientist, and made many lifelong friends there.

Funny, smart, generous, adventurous, loving, loyal and strong, Nadia was an amazing cook and loved sharing her creations with family and friends.  She planned the best adventures and was always the first one to help anyone in need. Her humor and her joy for life were infectious and she shared both freely, whether she knew you for 5 minutes or for decades.

Nadia spent the past year enjoying retirement, doing the things she loved – bird watching, gardening, visiting farm stands and antique shops, and enjoying time with family and friends.

She has so many family members and friends who love her so dearly and will miss her so much – a true testament to a life well lived. Nadia was one of a kind and left us with such wonderful memories. She will live in our hearts – and put smiles on our faces – forever.

Calling hours will take place at Miller Funeral and Cremation Services INC (3325 Winton Road South, Rochester, New York 14620). on Friday June 26, 2026 from 4:00pm-6:30pm. At 6:30pm family invites you to share words of remembrance and to take part in a closing prayer at 7:00pm.
