David Lawrence “Dave” Joanette, 63, of Henrietta, New York, passed away on June 28, 2026, at home in Henrietta, New York.

Dave was born on July 21, 1962, in Ogdensburg, New York. A quiet and hardworking man, he spent many years as the owner of his own painting business, building a life through dedication and perseverance.

Outside of work, Dave found peace in life’s simple pleasures. He enjoyed tending to his serene garden, cherished the companionship of his beloved cats, and always enjoyed driving and taking care of his Dodge Dakota. Above all, Dave’s greatest source of pride was watching his two sons grow into the men they are today.

Dave will be remembered for his quirky personality, unwavering work ethic, and the love he had for his family, home, and animals. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Dave was preceded in death by his father, Raymond Joanette.

He is survived by his sons, Robert Hebing and Jacob Joanette; his mother, Truda Joanette; his brothers, Randy (Cheryl) Joanette and Michael Joanette; along with extended family and friends who will miss him dearly.

Family and friends are invited to call on Friday, July 10, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Miller Funeral and Cremation Services, 3325 Winton Road South, Rochester, New York. A memorial service will immediately follow at 12:00 p.m. in the funeral home’s chapel. Interment will follow at Pine Hill Cemetery.
