Jeffrey Scott Bingham, 54, of Henrietta, NY, passed away unexpectedly on July 8, 2026, with his loving family by his side. Born on March 24, 1972, at Highland Hospital in Rochester, NY, Jeffrey was the beloved son of Susan and James Bingham. From his earliest years, his life was marked by deep friendships, athletic talent, and an unwavering devotion to his family and friends.

Growing up in Rochester, Jeffrey formed lifelong bonds with friends from Pre-K through high school, as well as college friendships he cherished throughout his life. An exceptional athlete from a young age, Jeffrey made his mark on his first soccer team by scoring more goals than any player in the league-a point of pride he carried with him. His passion for sports continued as he took up hockey, a sport he played through college and into men’s leagues. He became a local founder of the Diablos Men’s Hockey Team, which grew into a nationwide organization. And on hole #5 on the day after Thanksgiving, November 17, 2015, he made a hole-in-one at Wildwood Country Club witnessed by his father-in-law, Doug Jones, his dad, and his son.

Jeffrey was also an accomplished skateboarder, skating alongside top talent both locally and nationally. Yet his greatest joy in sports came from coaching youth hockey. Whether on a hot summer afternoon or a frigid winter morning, Jeffrey could always be found in a cold ice rink-coaching, encouraging, and proudly watching his son play the sport he loved. When he wasn’t coaching, he was behind a camera, photographing his children’s games, meets, and competitions. He was endlessly proud of his daughter’s achievements in gymnastics, cheerleading, and flag football, never missing a moment to cheer for her.

In addition to his athletic pursuits, Jeffrey earned a Master Certified Physical Fitness Specialist designation from the Cooper Institute, and he worked for several fitness studios, Oak Hill Country Club, and owned Pittsford Fitness Studio all while attending college.

A dedicated student, Jeffrey earned degrees in Packaging Science and Business from the Rochester Institute of Technology. He was proud to share his expertise as a guest lecturer on Cold Chain Distribution for temperature-sensitive shipping. He served on the board of the Associated Institute of Packaging Professionals (IoPP), affiliated with RIT, where he helped host events that contributed to scholarships for RIT Packaging Science students.

Jeffrey’s professional career reflected his drive, intelligence, and leadership. He served as the North American Business Development Manager for COEXPAN, Mexico, a role that allowed him to travel the world and build lasting professional relationships.

Family was at the center of Jeffrey’s life. He especially cherished the bond he shared with his older brother, Jimmy; together they could recount an endless stream of childhood adventures, and just when you thought there were no more stories to tell, another one would surface. Their early years were spent on the RIT campus in married student housing before the family settled into their first home on Eagle Ridge South and the house on Rawhide Drive became a lively gathering place-always full of friends, laughter, and activities-birthday parties, movies, swimming, cookouts, overnight sleepovers, and morning pancakes all blended into the kind of memories that shaped a joyful and unforgettable childhood.

In addition to his parents Jeffrey is survived by his wife, Colleen Jones-Bingham; his children Jaxstin Douglas and Jenarose; his older brother, James (Sheryl Hayes) Bingham; his nephew, Jagar Bingham; his nieces, Jayme Bingham and Kayla (Nicholas) Castelli; and his great nephew Sonny Bingham; as well as several aunts, uncles, and cousins;and many, many friends.

He was also predeceased by his loving grandparents Vivian and Edgar Jackson and Annora Elizabeth and Glenn Hartman and Clifton A. Bingham.
