Gerald C. Adams of Pittsford, NY passed peacefully surrounded by family on July 15th, 2026.

Gerald, known as “Jerry,” is survived by his devoted and beloved wife of 43 years, Kathleen, his twin daughters Jordyn Adams (Alex Minurka) and Alexandra Coykendall (Nicholas), his son Evan Adams, grandchildren Kayce and Alaena, his siblings Daniel, Thomas, Charles, Gregory, Kathleen, and Linda Adams, his brother-in-law David Rogers (Rebecca), and many other beloved nieces, nephews, family and friends.

He is predeceased by his parents, Charles and Alma Adams, and his sister Constance Thompson.

Jerry was born and raised in Palmyra, NJ where he enlisted in the Army in 1966. He served in the Vietnam War until 1972 when he came back to the states and lived in Boulder, CO, where he met his wife Kathie at Peggy’s Hi-Lo nightclub on 47th Street and the Diagonal Highway in August of 1980.

Jerry and Kathie travelled around the beautiful mid-west in their motorhome and eventually made their way back to Rochester, NY where they bought their first home on Gatehouse Trail in Henrietta and started their family.

Jerry was an accomplished pool player, avid golfer, an incredibly hard worker both at work and at home, and most importantly, the best husband, father, and brother. He was a true family man and patriot.

Jerry was diagnosed with Parkinson’s in 1997. Like a true soldier, he fought with incredible strength, integrity, and grace through every battle he faced until the very end.

Jerry could not have been with us as long as he was without the unwavering care, support, and love he received from the incredible staff at the Jewish Home of Rochester, Cottage 1.

We’ll always remember him for the lightheartedness he brought to every moment. This time has shown us just how loved and cherished he was by so many.

Jerry, Dad; We know you’re finally free and at peace. You’re in our hearts forever and we’ll honor you, always. We’ll meet you on the other side.

Calling hours will be held at Miller Funeral Home (3325 Winton Rd S) on Monday, July 20th from 4pm – 7pm. A funeral service will be held in the chapel at Ascension Garden Cemetery on Tuesday, July 21st at 11am.  Click HERE to view Jerry’s Memorial Video
