Robert Alan Mauté, Sr. “Bob”

Victor – Passed away on July 24, 2026 at age 83. He was predeceased by his parents, Leonard and Helen Mauté; sister, Robin Sokolowski. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Bonnie Dee Mauté; children, Amy Mauté (Todd) Hadley, Susan Mauté (Dustin) Lehner; R.J. (Kimberly) Mauté; grandchildren, Matthew, Christopher, Benjamin, Katie Hadley, Aiden, Margaret, Nora Lehner, Ty, Bryce, Caroline Mauté; nieces, nephews and many dear friends.

Bob was a friend to all, known for his willingness to assist anyone in need. A consummate self-learner, he possessed the confidence to master any task he encountered. His professional life was marked by an unwavering loyalty to his employers. From his early days at an A&P Grocer and landscaping with his closest friend, to the instrumentation firm where he met his beloved wife, he served with honor. He dedicated over three decades to Roche and later found great joy and lasting community as “Uncle Bob” at Enterprise. His educational journey began at OCC, continuing at Syracuse University where he self-funded his studies, and culminated in an Economics degree from the University of Rochester. He took great pride in his alma mater, frequently wearing his U of R apparel. An avid outdoorsman, he cherished his time fishing and hunting at Sandy Pond. Tending to his land was a labor of love; he spent countless hours mowing while observing the local wildlife. He will be remembered for his humility, wit, kind spirit, his infectious smile, and his profound love for his family.

Family and friends are invited to call on Thursday, July 30th from 4-7 PM at Miller Funeral and Cremation Services of Victor, 301 West Main Street, Victor. Bob’s Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, July 31st at 10AM at Saint Catherine of Siena Church, 26 Mendon Ionia Rd, Mendon. Interment will be held privately.
